Sensa Diet Review: Pros and Cons

While the Sensa Diet, also known as the Sprinkle Diet, developed by Dr. Alan Hirsch, can be considered as a weight loss method, it really isn't a diet, per se. Instead, the Sensa is basically a calorie-free, sugar-free, and sodium-free food flake made from maltodextrin, tricalcium phosphate, silica, and flavors, which you will need to sprinkle to your food (like you would salt or sugar) in order to enhance its scent and ass  either salty or sweet taste. The Sensa comes in a variety of flavors, including cheddar and parmesan cheese, onion, horseradish, ranch dressing, taco, cocoa, spearmint, banana strawberry, raspberry, and malt.

Sensa has been formulated to work with your sense of small while tricking your brain into thinking that your stomach is full. As a result, one can expect a drastic change in their eating habits.

The Sensa system is available with 2 shakers: one for salt tastants that can be used on salty and/or spicy foods and sweet tastants that can be used for sweet foods. However, it does not work on semi-solid foods and liquids, such as ice cream and sugar-packed smoothies.  The Sensa is pretty expensive as it costs $235 for a six-month supply.

Here are the pros and cons of the Sensa Diet:

  • The sensa system has a very detailed and comprehensive official website, which can guide your way through weight loss
  • There is a 30-day product trial available through their website. So if you are not satisfied with the results, you can avail of a money-back guarantee.

  • The Sensa Diet is a nothing but a temporary solution to weight loss.
  • The weight loss system is not suitable for everyone.
  • There are no before and after photos on their website so whether or not the product is effective is pretty questionable.
  • The product may irritate the stomach.
  • Sensa is expensive.
True, the Sensa system is an innovative approach to weight loss. However, with the lack of evidence for results, it's more likely that other weight loss systems will be more recommended compared to the Sensa system.
