It costs money, so if you’re looking for a free diet plan, you’re better off with the DASH diet or something similar.

The typical Jenny Craig plan is designed for women up to age 55, the other plans available are Jenny Craig for Men, Jenny Craig Silver (for Seniors), and Jenny Craig Type 2 (for diabetics).
We’re going to cover just the regular Jenny Craig in this review, but in future reviews we will cover the other plans.
You can stay on the diet for as long as you want, be it three months or three years, it all depends on how comfortable you are spending the money and your weight loss goals. For some, the strict rules from Jenny Craig meals help to keep users committed by sticking to Jenny Craig recipes.
When you begin the diet, you start off like this..
Three prepackaged meals per day and one snack a day
Food options are three-cheese ziti, apple cinnamon waffles, etc.
Once you’re halfway to your weight loss goal, you’ll begin cooking for yourself again twice a week using Jenny’s recipes
After reaching your weight loss goal, you’ll transition back to making your own meals while adjusting to a slightly higher number of daily calories
A nice feature is there’s a “splurge” built into every week, allowing up to 250 calories for special occasions if you balance it out with extra physical activity, like walking
During your progress through the diet, you’ll speak to your consultant once a week to check in on how you’re doing, and also order your food for the following week
While results are not typical or the same for every participant, there was a studied published in Obesity in 2007 that showed participants that stuck to the plan for about a year lost 12 percent of their body weight, while those who quit after the first month lost just 1 percent.
So if you started off at 200 pounds, you would lose 24 pounds in a one year period, which is under the “safe” guidelines for weight loss.
So if you combine Jenny Craig with a moderate home workout plan, you can easily reach your weight loss goals.
Along with your diet plan, you will receive a personalized fitness plan when you signup. The fitness plan focused on three kinds of activities.
Natural activities like shopping, gardening, house cleaning
Planned activities like gym workouts, cardio, and aerobics
Playful activities like dance classes, playing catch, sports, etc.
Your planned exercise program will have a set number of activities you need to do each week to ensure you reach your weight loss goal. The more exercise you do, the more you will lose.
Jenny Craig and Nutrisystem are similar diet plans, with the main difference being that Jenny Craig is about double the price, so if you can afford the additional cost, Jenny is worth the money. Nutrisystem has good meal options, and they have much cheaper pricing plans which accommodate a lesser budget.
